Band life

Dun dun DUNNN Band, a wonder and a horror to a lot of people. To me, it's a wonder... Joshua's band story all started off like this...

It was a fine sunny day...wait no. That's such a casual a overused beginning. Hmmm...Oh! I know okay, back from the top.

WAIIITTT, you'll need this for later in the story:
If you don't try out at all (USUALLY)

  1. Intermediate Band
    1. Concert Band
      1. Symphonic Band
If you try out each year and do okay (USUALLY)

    1. Intermediate Band
      1. Symphonic Band
        1. Wind Ensemble
If you do superb on the first tryout (USUALLY)

      1. Intermediate Band
        1. Wind Ensemble
          1. Wind Ensemble

****NOTE Jazz Band is optional and is hard to make it in

It was a cloudy day, like Joshua's head currently. All the kids were running to two different rooms: the Music room and the Multi-Purpose room (A Multi-Purpose room is where there is a lot of space and is used for, well "Multi-Purposes"). So, as stupid as Joshua was, Joshua stupidly followed Joshua's friend instead of being actually smart (for once in his life) and asking a teacher what was going on (Joshua was a chicken, so...yeah). This decision would effect his current life and perhaps his future. Maybe, he would have more friends (or less...) and become more successful in violin than in the instrument he choice instead.

Joshua asked his friend "Why are there two adults with instruments up there?"

His friend responded, "We are choosing instruments".

"Wait whattttttt?" Joshua said confused. He hadn't paid attention before in class when the teacher explained to them about how if they wanted a band instrument, go to the MP (Multi-Purpose), and if you wanted to choose a strings instrument, go to the Music Room. Now, his parents both played violin and had been excellent at violin. So his first choice would've obviously been violin, BUT NO, for if he had paid attention in class, he might've done the correct thing and went to the Music Room.

"Where do we go if we want to choose violin?" Joshua asked.

"To the music room, DID YOU NOT LISTEN?!" His friend angrily responded.

      "...," Joshua responded.

Now, Joshua was nervous because he really wanted violin, (but he was a chicken) but he thought it was too late, and now, he had to choose a instrument that was from band (but only the main ones). Joshua was very confused and didn't know what to do. Should he stay here? or Should he run to the Strings room? Being the stupid idiot he was, he stayed in brass, and instead of thinking of what instrument he wanted to choose (you had to get into the instrument group that you choose), he stupidly asked his friend...

      "What instrument are you doing?"

"I'm doing trumpet," He responded, sounding very irritated and annoyed.

SO, again, I have to make this clear. STUPIDLY, VERY VERY STUPIDLY. HE DUMBLY CHOOSE THE INSTRUMENT HIS FRIEND CHOOSE: TRUMPET (FYI if Joshua thought about his choice, he would've probably choose percussion).

Okay, now back to being kinda calm(ish). So, the two adults explained to all of the curious kids (except for me, the STUPID one) what the instruments they choose were gonna be like. I had like 0 interest in trumpet. Joshua just did it because Joshua's friend was doing it . After the adults finished talking about the instruments, they passed out a small slip of paper to each person about their instrument that they choose. Whoope for me, Joshua don't want no stupid trumpet (I knows I uses bad grammars). Well, sucks to suck, Joshua went home and Joshua told his parents about what had happened and how Joshua chosen trumpet and they seemed pretty okey with it.

Well, as life moved on, Joshua practiced some, but not a lot. Joshua mainly practiced only because his cousin said Joshua should really practice. So, moving on, his dad bought me a silver trumpet (like actually bought it) mainly because Joshua said he would be playing trumpet for a while.

SOOO, as life went along, he played trumpet through the year and something really kewl happened to him................................................................HE GOT INTO SYMPHONIC BAND WITHOUT TRYING OUT!!!! He got this because they were short on trumpets and Joshua was good enough that his music teacher let him to be in Symphonic Band. JOSHUA WAS HYPED!

Joshua was happy for one day. Then he felt like if nothing had ever happened...And so, he went onto summer vacation without practicing UNTIL... TWO WEEKS BEFORE SCHOOL STARTED....HE FOUND OUT THAT HE HAD TO PRACTICE A PIECE FOR CHAIRS (chairs go according to how good you do on your tryout when school starts). Joshua started to freak out and practiced almost everyday (he felt like practicing) and when school started, he was (NOT) ready (cuz he was stupid and only felt like practicing once or twice...good job Josh). LUCKILYYY (how does he get so lucky?!), they went alphabetical order so he got almost a WEEK to practice (he is not humen).
Now, it was his turn (FINALLY), he wasn't scared at all, in fact, he thought he would ACE this, but once he arrived into the teacher's office, everything changed...

Slowly, he walked in with his music and trumpet in his hand. The teacher said he could start. He tapped out the counts and began to play.... (sweet tune) BLART....(cuteeee) SQUEAKK....(awwwww) WAYYYY OFF TUNE. Okey, it was over, now he didn't care. He was already 4 out of 5 in chairs, and thought he would stay that way. There was only one other his age, and all of the other children were older than him.

Couple days later, the teacher announced all of the chairs. Now it was the trumpet's turn. 1st Chair (Bob), 2nd Chair (Jeff), 3rd Chair (Joshua), 4th Chair (Joe), 5th Chair (Bill). Okey, it's the same...WAIT DID HE SAY JOSHUA IS THIRD CHAIR?!

"woah dude...and YES he did actually say I was 3rd chair?" Joshua asked himself, but that would mean he is the leader of the Trumpet 2 part (you can search it up: Trumpet 1 and Trumpet 2 parts), and Joshua really liked playing the high parts. Joshua was sad...AND HAPPY...AND LUCKY.

(okey, I should calm down now)

Now, it brings us to about where we are today. Joshua recently got braces (yikes), but in music, they are doing ensembles, so it allows him to adjust (Ensembles usually take a week or so). Also, he tried out for Wind Ensemble and made it. Wow. Just unbelievable. Soon, Jazz Band tryouts will begin, and Joshua being the idiot he is, will have to start preparing and practicing (WITH BRACES). Hopefully he makes it. He really hopes that he can make it so he can have friends...AND cuz he like band (I think).

AND SO, WITH LOTS OF CAPITAL LETTERS, THIS HAS BEEN JOSHUA'S BAND STORY. HAVE A GOOD NIGHT (OR MORNING OR AFTERNOON IDC).

Song: (no song cuz all of the songs about luck aren't about this kinda luck, they're the love type of luck...)

Artist: (NO ARTIST CUZ THERE IS NO SONG IDIOOOTTTT)

      1. Woahwoahwoah chilllll
        the lazy gramers...
hmm maybe be a little lighter on Joshua?
        That's like nine "stupid"/"stupidly"'s
        One "dumbly"
        three "idiot"'s
        two "chicken"'s
You are definitely not calm...is everything good between you two?
This was all Joshua's choice, don't judge it so harshly/exaggerate/fabricate his thoughts...
