The Click By AJR
Wow, it's never come to me that I actually have to write a blog post because I really like something, well I do. It's this album called The Click. I've been listening to this album as much as I can for a couple of weeks now. There's a story behind it and I wanna review and rate each of the songs my fav to derp idc songs. AUUUGHH LOVE THIS ALBUM.

All of the songs are awesome. Most of the songs have a similar thing. The songs seem like they are about to end, but they don't. For example, Overture, at 1:50 you think it's gonna end, but it gets even better and keeps going. Only three of the thirteen songs have explicitness in them, so that's good, but I usually listen to music out loud, so I skip those songs. The songs are good til the end. AJR is awesome for many reasons. What I like about them the most is they sing their songs upfront and use that as their real song. Here's an example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T82h4Z60CGE it's very similar to the actual song! And here's part one of the how AJR makes their heaven cuz i'm really bad at reviewing stuff: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bt4_CU1xMwk
Reviewing the Songs
1. Overture - This song is basically a recap of all the songs. What I like about this song is, it takes all the songs and summarizes the album, and I like the album. It adds in some catchy beats and remixes it up a little bit. It also has nice instrumental sounds. They build on a metronome that it is IN the song, I just thought that was cool. 1:50
2. The Good Part - Nice drum set to this song. The Good Part is more of a 'sadder' song. I don't really like song, but I will listen to it. In my opinion it's like a singing-drum song. You hear the beats, the voice, drums (most of the song), and this weird half screaming? 3:19, it may be earlier, but 3:19 is clear.
3. Weak - First song in this album that I listened to. This song isn't the song which brought me across The Click, but was one of my favorites for a while. The song has a electronic background with a auto tuned-ish voice. This is called house (thanks to Wilson). n/a
4. Sober Up feat. Rivers Cuomo - This is the song which lead me to discovering this album. Sober Up has a violin in the song which allows it to have a cool catchy beat. Then, it has a guitar, which is also awesome. Rivers Cuomo did a good job in this song. Partial - good buildup at 2:55, I think it's a beat drop, but basically it helps the song last more.
5. Drama - I think this song is pretty good. It has a catchy tune and has a unique beat. The song has a tinkered metronome beat. The bass drop, or maybe not bass drop is worked in well. It pauses, but then jumps back in really well. Partial - 2:36 same as Sober Up
6. Turning Out - Turning Out, what can I say, "It’s an awesome song of growing up and facing the reality of relationships, as well as life. Also the unsurity of how we “turned out” has such a large impact in who we are and who we will be. While having such an impact, in the early stage, this can be a confusing path covered in trees. This song opens our eyes to reality, yet also gives us hope in reassuring that “we will figure it out”." It also has lots of instrumental beats and instruments in general. When the song reaches its climax you can hear the voices in the background which makes it flow better. Throughout the song, there's a piano, and once in a while a violin. Downtime song. 2:42
7. No Grass Today - Gee, this song is more about smoking... I think. When you listen to the lyrics you may hear him trying to discourage others to not to smoke and stuff. Again, it has a piano throughout the song, but this one is more of a happy song. The minor chords give it a good variety, but they don't do a great job making it flow. 2:47
8. Three-Thirty - Lots of EDM beats to begin with. Instead of a violin or piano, it has a flute-ish. The song is three minutes and thirty seconds. Wow. SO surprising. In the lyrics I think it also says "how am I supposed to fit this [the song] in three-thirty" -_- More screaming voices like in The Good Part.
9. Call My Dad - Good song, but it's more of a solo song. In my opinion it's similar to turning out, but wayyyy less instruments and voices. I like it better when they all contribute. Maybe they do all contribute, but it's not very obvious. I would listen to this song when i'm feeling more of the sad side of my day or a downtime time. n/a
10. I'm Not Famous - Interesting, but I like it. The song is similar to the other songs. It's a more of a simple song composed of instruments. This song is a happier version of Turning Out. Better screamig than The Good Part, plus it's catchy. "i'm not famous no". 2:47 like Sober Up with no buildup just downhill
11. Netflix Trip - Ehhhhh, song is like a story song. I don't really understand the song, but it seems like a breakup song. At least this song has more than one person singing. In the beginning the treble guy from AJR sings, then the main voice sings. Even the bass guy with the low voice has a part in this song. 3:00
12. Bud Like You - The beginning of the song has Irish beat and appears throughout the song. It has that certain Ed Sheeran's Gallaway Girl feeling. With the Irish beat and the background voices they add in EDM beats 2:58 like Sober Up
13. Come Hang Out - MY FAVORITE SONG. The beginning has an opening of a gradually louder edm voice. Throughout the song it keeps that and it's a cool enjoyable effect. The song in general is really simple, but the beat is catchy in MY OPINION 2:52
Bonussssss Song...
LET DA (the) GAMES BEGIN - This song is interesting. First off, explicit. Okay, now to the meat of the song. The beginning has a trumpet solo (:DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD) and then has that same trumpet, but remixed. A lot of the song has remixed instruments. In my opinion, the song is singing a bunch of tongue-twisters. Makes me feel hyped. Also makes me feel like dancing (like this). Heh. OKAY. THIS TOOK A LONG TIME EVEN THOUGH IT WAS SUPA EASY.
